Welcome to Twin Fin Poke, Denver's newest and greatest poke restaurant. We bring to life the traditional Hawaiian seafood bowl, topped with all the embellishments a mainlander could ask for.
”Poke” (pronounced poh–key) is a Hawaiian word that means ”to cut” or ”slice into pieces.” The dish originated with fishermen seasoning the trimmings from their daily catches to eat as a snack. While the traditional recipe was mostly made with tuna or octopus, Poke has evolved to include many types of fresh fish paired with an assortment of toppings and sauces. Our Poke bowls are naturally low fat, low sugar, gluten and dairy free, and packed with nutrition.
TWO FOUNDERS - ONE GOAL
Our founders are no strangers of the sea, or fresh food. Steve grew up on the west coast and spent 3 years fishing tuna on a 12 ton commercial bait boat. "We caught tuna with Bambu bait poles one tuna at a time." Joel has spent most of his life by the sea, and was involved in one of the first fresh salad bar restaurant chains in the country. Together, they share the common goal of bringing the ocean to the Front Range by seeking out sustainable seafood sources and building the freshest Poke bowls in town.
We have the utmost respect for Hawaiian tradition, food, chefs and people from whom our menu is inspired. In addition to recreating our favorite Hawaiian dish for our Colorado friends and neighbors, we are happy to support the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement, whose mission is to enhance the cultural, economic, political, and community development of Native Hawaiians.
